Hi, it’s William Lo here.

I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself, in case we haven’t met before.

I’m actually just your typical stroke survivor, who once found themselves staring at rock bottom, with almost no hope, when I first had my stroke 9 years ago.

My stroke happened when I was 17, a few months before my 18th birthday. Back then things seemed “perfect”, and on the outside it appeared that I had my life “handled.”

I won’t bore you with the details, but you could say I was your typical fit, active and healthy teenager who no one would have expected to have a stroke.

When I first started, not much was known about recovery after stroke, or what we would call “neuroplasticity” today. In fact, there was virtually NO good information about recovery after stroke, and if there was, it was generally vague and hard to understand.

Determined to make things work, I took it upon myself to learn as much as possible and enrolled in an occupational therapy degree, so I could “beat” stroke.

Even though it seemed like the right choice at the time, throughout my studies I always felt that there was something “off” from what was being taught about recovery, versus what I had experienced personally, as a survivor myself.

A part of me knew there had to be “another way”, I just had to figure it out.

Well, it wasn’t very easy to figure out. Over the next few years I took it upon myself to learn as much as I could, reading through thousands of research articles, exchanging ideas with leading clinicians and testing things myself( at my own risk) to identify what worked and what didn’t.

I first realized recovery was possible when I started to SEE it in action.

I’m talking about doing one exercise one day, and then waking up the next morning, to see movement for the FIRST time.

As I went along with my recovery, I noticed that every now and then, my brain would RESPOND to the way I did certain things, to rewire itself literally overnight.

Maybe I would try going up stairs with a different leg, and find that I was walking in more of a rhythm a few days later.

To say the least, the feeling of HOPE, and to see that it was POSSIBLE contrary to what doctors said, got me thinking that I had uncovered something which had been an overlooked breakthrough for years in stroke recovery.

To cut a long story short, after discovering how and what the brain responds to in recovery after stroke, I was able to make rapid progress for myself and take the things I had learned, to create a system for myself.

Now i’m not saying this all to brag, but the fact is that there is another way to recovery after stroke from what we’ve been told. In fact, it all comes down to understanding how the brain learns new skills, like you would a bike. And once any survivor understands this, recovery becomes ALOT easier, and removes alot of guesswork hoping and waiting for the “quick fix”

In my journey, I’ve concluded that there will never be a “quick fix” And if you are still looking for that “quick fix”, I’ve got some bad news for you…

But I can also tell you that if you learn how the brain rewires itself after stroke, it will bring HUGE benefits to your quality of life and make things MUCH EASIER.

After years in my recovery, I have come to believe something which is very important when it comes to recovery.

If you don’t learn how the brain recovers and what it responds to after stroke, then you’re probably going to live life after stroke “getting by” with what you’ve been able to get back, with recovery at a standstill or plateau. For some survivors its not an easy thing to explain to, but if you’ve been at this for even a few months, I bet you know EXACTLY what I mean.

On the other hand however, if you do know how the brain recovers, recovery will be MUCH easier, with some certainty of what is and what isnt going to keep recovery going.

Why should you believe that I can help you?

As you already may be aware, there are alot of people claiming that they have all the “silver bullet” or “quick fix” when it comes to recovery after stroke.

Well, unfortunately for you, my coaching is no “quick fix.”
I don’t claim to have a quick fix, only knowledge of some of the strategies, exercises and simple things one can do, to help wake up their brain in recovery.
My own experiences and those survivors I have been fortunate to work with have been enough evidence of the fact that how you do something can make the DIFFERENCE in recovery.

If you’re like any survivor who has been at it for awhile, I have no doubt that there may be a part of you who is thinking this may be “too good to be true.” And I totally get it as a survivor myself.

I want you to TRY what you learn from me and see for yourself.

In fact, I dont even want you to think about considering coaching for your recovery until we’ve met in person, over skype, for a risk free session to see whether I would even be in a position to help.
One of the things I pride myself on is only offering to help those I can actually help. If it turns out in the instance that were not a good fit for each other, then you would only walk away with a better understanding of what’s going on.

If however, we both meet and I do happen to know how to help you, you’ll find that I am only a fan of things which get RESULTS in recovery.

But hey, don’t hear it from me, but other survivors around the world I have helped get back what they never thought they could…
